Managing Director, Partnership Success Strategy

The Partnership Success Team focuses on the partner experience, connecting partner engagement, sales, partner management, and partnership operations. The team will ensure that partners feel they have made a valuable investment and are set up for success. Additionally, this work includes tight coordination with the Program Team (content and operations) as well as the School & Systems Service Team (direct service to partners).

The Managing Director, Partnership Success Strategy will work closely with the Chief Partnership Success Officer (CPSO), leadership of the Partnership Success Team, and other stakeholders across the organization to guide and facilitate key cross-functional needs. They will deeply understand where bodies of work live, how we serve our partners, and be able to identify matrixed interdependence so that they are able to represent the Chief Partnership Success Officer in advancing key projects. The Managing Director will report to the Chief Partnership Success Officer and may also manage operational roles as needed.


Serve as a key member of the Partnership Success Leadership team

? Act as a critical thought-partner, providing sound counsel and maintaining complete confidentiality

? Design leadership and all-team rhythms, including setting agendas, developing content, and facilitating, all in support of building a healthy and productive team that is aligned with the priorities of the organization.

? Support Partnership Success leadership in managing towards outcomes through strong goal setting, tracking, and use of team time in regular meetings and stepbacks.

? Support the financial health and viability of the team by working with organizational leadership on budget development, expense tracking, and managing contracts and payments.

? Manage operational roles as needed across internal and external operations, communications, and events.

Lead strategic priorities, performance indicators, communication, and coordination across the team

? Facilitate the annual planning process for the Partnership Success Team, which may include priority and goal setting as well as budget and staff planning.

? Ensure effective communication and coordination within the Partnership Success Team. This may include:

? Developing and disseminating internal team messages

? Supporting the coordination of activities and information across Partnership Success teams (sales, account management, marketing, and operations)

? Ensure effective communication and coordination across the organizational matrix by collaborating with peers from other teams regarding progress towards goals and the focus priorities of the quarter for your respective teams

? Analyze and make recommendations for partnership experience improvements based on quantitative and qualitative data.

Manage top-priority projects

? Support CPSO in cultivation and engagement of strategic partners

? Serve as a surrogate for CPSO in targeted internal and external engagements

? Support targeted top priority cross-functional projects throughout the year

Own the vision for team culture and events for the Partnership Success Team

? Design and lead team efforts to live our core values internally and externally and advance our anti-racist work in collaboration with Anti-Racism & Culture Team

? Organize and project plan the details of team events including coordinating logistics, catering, and materials preparation

? Work in partnership with the rest of the Partnership Operations team to ensure all team members have a high quality experience aligned with our organization’s mission, values and anti-racist commitment

? You are able to connect the dots between the details and strategy to help inform and influence others towards goals.

? You get excited about supporting others to do their best work and consistently go above and beyond in meeting the needs of your team and external partners.

? You have previously motivated, developed, and managed others to achieve ambitious goals and know how to build and foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
